ACTING TOGETHER
WITHOUT REPLACING
Our mission
Facilitating access to quality care for all
For 40 years, Santé Sud has been working alongside its partners to improve access to healthcare for all by strengthening the skills of health human resources, combating medical deserts and informing and raising awareness among populations of their rights to healthcare.
Nos axes d’intervention
Combating medical deserts and improving access to care
Since its creation, Santé Sud has been working to provide medical care in rural areas in countries with limited resources, in the face of the unequal distribution of healthcare professionals, and to improve access to healthcare for people living in the most isolated regions.
Strengthening health human resources
In all of its programmes, Santé Sud trains primary care and referral professionals, encourages their networking, works with them to develop plans for improving care pathways, and sets up on-site monitoring and mentoring to ensure that training content is properly assimilated.
Raising awareness and informing people about their health rights
Santé Sud’s mission is to empower the people affected by its activities. The aim is to develop community-based, participatory approaches to enable people to make the right choices for their own health.
